A Brief History
In 1956, Calko (Canada) Inc. was founded, and over the years grew into Canada's leading manufacturer of knit trims, braided cords and woven tapes. In 1985, in order to successfully service the U.S. market, Calko moved part of its Canadian operation to Vermont, naming it Green Mountain Knitting Inc. In the two short decades to follow, Green Mountain Knitting has become one of the largest knit trim manufacturers in North America. This tremendous growth and success can be attributed to constant innovation, ongoing research and development, high-quality products, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service.
